Dear Dad,

Happy Father’s Day! I hope that you’re not mad about my surprise for you! I hope today brought you as much joy and happiness as you have brought into my life.

I look back on the day we reconnected in May of 2019 with a full heart. After all those years when I was just 2 and life took us in different directions, finding our way back to one another felt like a precious gift. I am deeply thankful for every conversations we have shared, every laugh we have rekindled, and the new memories we create now.

Thank you for showing me what it means to be steadfast and loving, even when circumstances change. Your patience in getting to know who I have become – and your pride in the woman I continue to grow into – means more than words can express. Whether we are swapping stories over coffee or reminiscing about family traditions, those moments remind me how blessed I am to call you Dad.
