This morning was one for the books – my heart is full. Cousins of ours were baptized today at church. They are so young, so watching them take that step in their faith brought a smile to my face.

During church today we were reminded that there are two things that last God’s Word and People. Our souls – eternal and beloved – carried in these temporary bodies. That truth hit deep.
Church was filled with quiet revelations. Pastor Yancey talked about how our hearts often carry more than our calendars can hold. How true that is for me! I am learning that winning in life does not always look like a busy schedule or checked-off to-do lists. It looks like loving God first, loving myself, loving others, and loving the results. The kinds that align with eternity.

This morning, I woke up before my alarm and to the words, “Hello. Can you hear me? Is anyone there?” I looked around only to see that my girls were all asleep and no one had called on the phone. I had to wonder — was it God? Was He trying to get my attention? Because maybe, just maybe, I haven’t been really listening; this morning, He spoked straight to my heart at church: Keep My Word. Keep your calendar aligned with the people who matter most. Keep short accounts. I am not perfectly trustworthy, I can’t forgive perfectly, and I definitely can’t prioritize like I should. But Jesus can. And He does.

We explored scriptures today – Numbers 23:9, Proverbs 17:9, Jeremiah 2:32, Romans 12:1-2, Hebrews 12:14-15, and John 3:16. Each verse is like a thread weaving together a bigger picture full of grace, love, and purpose. I want to live each day counting what truly matters, so when it’s my last day on earth, I’ll know I have lived aligned with the eternal.
Pastor Dan and his wife, Laura, announced they will be moving back to Missouri in the next few weeks. We will miss them dearly, but hopeful, excited, and understand their reasoning for moving back. We are excited to welcome our new pastor and his wife in the weeks to come.

This captures a sacred moment – members of the church standing in worship, hearts lifted, and voices raised. What you can’t hear is the sound of tiny feet tapping against the floor, a little girl whispering questions only her mom can hear, and a room full of people quietly chasing eternity. This is what church looks like — messy, beautiful, and real.
