Sitting here on the couch waiting for my mini corndogs to cook in the air fryer, I can’t help to feel at peace. Fall is starting to show itself in deep, East Texas. I’m not one for the cooler weather, but I am for one to snuggle in cozy sweaters and taking long walks (or rides on the side by side) through the vibrant foliage. There is just something so magical about fall that fills my soul with warmth and gratitude.

One of the most delightful aspects of fall is the scent that hangs in the air. While I adore the smell of fallen leaves, nothing quite compares to the aroma of salt water and coconuts. It definitely may seem out of place for this time of year, but it reminds me of summer days spent at the beach, lounging under the sun, the air thick with the scent of coconuts and sunscreen. Every inhale transported me back to those carefree moments, where laughter mingled with the sound of waves crashing. I find myself grateful for the ability to smell these scents, rooting memories that bring me joy.
