As the crisp air lingers north of us but the leaves turn to shoes of amber and crimson, I am excited for November. This month, I have decided to embark on a daily adventure, a journey of gratitude that will unfold one day at a time. Each sunrise will be a reminder to appreciate the small wonders of the world around me, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.

The best thing about fall is how it invites us to slow down and savor the moment. The world seems to glow with warmth – from the cozy sweaters pulled from the back of the closet to the enticing aroma of pumpkin spice wafting in the air. There’s something magical about crunching through piles of leaves, the sound echoing with the memories of seasons past. Each walk outside feels like a treasure hunt, as I continue to search for the perfect acorn or the brightest leaf to add to my collection.

November will be a canvas painted with gratitude, a month to outshine October. While October wrapped me in its vibrant colors and Halloween fun, November promises deeper connections and reflections. It’s a time to gather around tables filled with warmth, laughter, and the delicious smell of roasted turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. I’m ready to embrace everything that November has to offer, from cozy nights in with a good book to spontaneous road trips to see the last of the foilage.

One scent that I am particularly grateful for this month is the fragrance of woodsmoke. There’s something about the smell of a fireplace crackling that instantly makes me feel at home. It wraps me in nostalgia, reminding me of family gatherings and stories shared over pumpkin spice lattes an hot chocolate with mini marshmallows. Each inhalation transports me to those cherished moments, igniting a sense of comfort and belonging.

Here is to Grateful November! I’m ready to fill each day with new adventures – discovering a hidden trail, experimenting in the kitchen with seasonal recipes, or just taking time to appreciate the beauty of nature. Join me on this journey of gratitude and let’s make November a month to remember!
