Looking for my creative muse, if you have seen it, please send it my way. For now, here are some things that inspire me while looking for that muse of mine.
Photography: the art of capturing moments frozen in time. Whether I am snapping pics of breathtaking landscapes/capturing the perfect candid shot of my pets doing something hilarious (pets are always good for a laugh), photography truly inspires and ignites my creativity.
Outdoors and Cool breezes aka nature’s air conditioning. Whether I am taking a stroll through a local park or embarking on an epic hiking adventure, there is something about being surrounded by nature that just puts my mind at ease and allows those creative thoughts to flow freely.
Cemeteries: maybe a little morbid? I love exploring the history of cemeteries and finding those who had my birthday when they were born/if they died on my birthday, did they come back as me? It can be a bit fascinating and thought-provoking. Who knows what tales really lie beneath those tombstones or in the crypts? Maybe, one day, I will stumble upon some more inspiration for a chilling ghost story or write a historic novel.
Old Planes and Cars aka the stuff of nostalgia; there’s just something about these vintage machines that spark my imagination. Maybe it’s imaging what it’s like to soar through the sky in a classic plan or cruising down I5 next to the Pacific Ocean in a slick vintage automobile. Each having its own unique charm that can transport me to another place and time.
Music: the universal language that speaks to my soul. Music has a way to stir up emotions and unlocking the floodgates of creativity.
Sports: the thrill of victory, the agony of defeat, the endless fodder for creative inspiration. Sports can provide plenty of material to fuel my creative fire while watching a favorite team dominate on the field/court.
Beauty of nature and it’s glorious flowers: from vibrant blooms in a garden to breathtaking landscapes filled with colorful petals, flowers are like little works of art just waiting to be appreciated. The beauty that surrounds us in every green leaf, blooming flower, or majestic mountain is an endless source of inspiration. It’s like having front-row seats to God’s personal art show.
A delightful mix of interests where I can usually find my muse. Inspiration is usually found in the most unexpected places. I will keep exploring and embracing what brings me joy. Who knows what my muse will lead me to create next! But, if all else fails, I guess there’s always dancing around in my underwear with a spoon as my microphone.
