Memorials are important to pay our respects to those who sacrificed their lives for the dear ones. As a tribute to these heroes, many monuments have been erected in the form of an eagle flying high above the veterans engraved on the wall. Each memorial gives us a representation of our past and its significance. 

The local East Texas Arboretum, in Athens, Texas is home to several eagle memorials – a majestic representation of those who serve with courage and valor. On one hand, they give us hope that, despite all odds, we will never forget their sacrifices. On the other hand, they remind us that freedom doesn’t come free. As we ponder upon these timeless memorials, we must never forget what we owe our heroes – respect and admiration for their courage and spirit.
