Most girls daydream of playing on a volleyball team since they were itty bitty and thought they would never get the chance to play until they were in their 7th grade year. That is, until a couple of years ago when CR decided to sign up for a Spring Volleyball League that was open to anyone who wanted to play, even beginners! These girls showed up for their first practice, feeling a but overwhelmed. Some have never played volleyball before and some have, either way they really didn’t know what to expect. As soon as they stepped on the court, some say that they felt a wave of excitement while their teammates welcomed each other. The coaches have taught the girls what to expect, how to hit, how to serve, and how to pass the ball. With each passing practice and game, the skills that these girls learn will improve drastically. They will all feel more confident in themselves and their abilities as a volleyball player.

Our next game is Saturday, March 4th at Malakoff Middle School. CR Green plays at 9a & 10a; and CR white plays at 8a & 11a. Of course, the game times could change and we never know until later on in the week.
